Navarro ISD
Navarro Independent School District (Navarro ISD) is a public school district located in the community of Geronimo, Texas, just north of Seguin in Guadalupe County. The district covers approximately 86 square miles and serves a diverse student population. Navarro ISD operates four campuses:
Navarro High School: Serving grades 9–12.
Navarro Junior High School: Serving grades 7–8.
Navarro Intermediate School: Serving grades 4–6.
Navarro Elementary School: Serving grades Pre-K through 3.
As of the 2021–2022 academic year, Navarro ISD serves approximately 2,180 students, with a student-teacher ratio of 14:1. The district is committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive educational experience that challenges and nurtures the intellect of every student. Navarro ISD has earned numerous awards and recognitions for academic achievement, athletics, and fine arts. Notably, in the 2020–2021 school year, Navarro Elementary was nominated by the Texas Education Agency as a National Blue Ribbon School.
The district offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including athletics such as football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, cross country, track, powerlifting, softball, and baseball. Additionally, students can participate in competitive dance teams, cheer teams, SkillsUSA, UIL, BPA, FFA, band, theater, art, Interact Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and National Junior Honor Society, among others.
